OPAM 2010 – January Finish No 2

OMG, this is starting to scare me – I’ve finished two – that’s right TWO – items this month…

Finish number 2 is a bag, based on the Gail Pan Saturday Tote pattern (yep, again), to replace the Wren Bag, which had to be retired after the Big Trip Over The Water due to exhaustion.

I added a zipped compartment behind the flap and a pocket on the front, using a Loralie Designs panel which was kindly donated to the cause by Mistea.  I just love the quirky picture of the fabric shopper – mmmm, maybe ‘coz I can relate!! – and  the lovely bright blues in the picture.

I also shortened the strap about 6 inches as I’m not over tall and even though it is an across the body strap the bag hung too far down my body.  Now it should be just right for using on those essential trips to Quilt Shows and patchwork shop hopping.

Hope you are enjoying your Wednesday…I think I may need a cup of tea, a Bex and a good lie down to get over the shock of two finishes in one month!

Happy Sewing…
