Watch This Space…

Why?  Because there is a chance of two more A Gardener’s Journal blocks by the end of the day…meaning I’ll have caught up to the timetable in the Stitch-A-Long.

The tradies have finally packed up their tools, the fence is finished and so is the house stitchery.

Wahoo!!  Put the final stitches in the fence yesterday morning before work…June stitcheries tick!…

and…last night was the night for one of my quilting groups and after a couple of obsessive, “I WILL get this finished before I do anything else!” hours…the garden tools collection was completed…

add a tick for July stitcheries as well.

Hoping to get the two blocks together later today and add two more to the group tally by July’s end and two more letters after my name! Yay!!!!

That is, right after I come back from a trip up the highway to collect my new sewing machine that I accidentally put on lay-by a few weeks ago when I took P-faff to be serviced and discovered that, apparently, P-faff needed a sibling…that was yesterday’s plan until work intervened and put a crimp in my stitchy related plans.  Right, stop procrastinating and get on the road and up the highway…

Until next time…

Happy stitching…

A Gardener’s Journal’s Potting Plants…

Thanks to Friday Night Sew-In another A Gardener’s Journal stitchery can be ticked off…Potting Plants…

There is still one stitchery to go for last month’s block…I’m starting to think I’m just going to have to accept being one month behind on a continuing basis.  Work hours have returned to what passes for normal (yay!) so if all goes according to plan I should be able to go to Monday sewing group and as Tuesday is the June day group gathering for local quilting group that’s potentially two mornings of a few productive hours of stitching in company…maybe I’ll get that stitchery done so that May’s block can be put together before the end of June.

Hope your Friday Night Sew-In was productive.

Happy Sewing…

Inspired Stitching…

Day 1 of the Inspired Stitches retreat … so much fun….greeted at the door with a lovely welcome…a bright airy room…bags of goodies on our chairs with patterns and starter kits, extra patterns, fabric, lollies, and more all in a hessian carry bag…two lovely designers in Natalie Ross and Natalie Lymer…first order of the day, morning tea…relaxation mode right off the bat…and Then…the projects were revealed…

From Natalie Ross…

Strawberry Frenzy…a bucket bag, a snazzy pincushion arrangement for the sewing machine and a lanyard to keep essential sewing helpers close at hand.

From Natalie Lymer…

Just Darling…a larger bucket bag with accompanying needle book and gadet bags in three sizes.

Are we just spoilt, they are georgeous projects from two very lovely ladies…

And what did I accomplish other than my usual class bobbleheading…

A good start on the large stitchery for the Just Darling bucket bag…the threads included in the kit are Cosmo and they are Sooooo Nice to work with and georgeous colours, really clear and beautiful shades.

Now to prepare the strawberry applique for the Strawberry Frenzy bucket bag for Day 2 – well, got to have a go at both projects, can’t be showing favouritism – he he he.
