Westward Ho…
Thursday I set off for Adelaide to attend a stitchy event, Inspired Stitches, this weekend. It was perfect travelling weather, clear blue skies, high teen-twenty temperatures, a really lovely winter’s day. After a billy boil break at St Arnaud I made it to Warracknabeal in time for lunch. Jindi had to stay home this trip but I did manage to find a kelpie in Warracknabeal…
I had a lovely visit to the local patchwork shop and picked up a sandwich for lunch before moving on. The next town along is Dimboola and Swans Bear set up for a cuppa…
There was a flood marker behind this picnic table showing the January flood level…this was all under water then…
Swans Bear checked out the water level now…what a difference!…
Back on the road and at Tintinara we found a couple of kelpies hard at work…Swans Bear thought they needed a hand…
After boiling the kettle for a final cuppa it was back on the road and into Adelaide…
A day of sightseeing scheduled for Friday before spending the weekend with needle and thread…
